Building Strong Foundations for Brighter Futures
Foundations Therapy & Support is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service visiting homes, schools and kinders across Melbourne’s inner suburbs, including Prahran, Toorak, South Yarra, Windsor, Richmond, Abbotsford, Fairfield, Kew, Hawthorn, Elwood, St Kilda and Burwood. We provide strength-based, family-centred therapy that helps children succeed, thrive and achieve their most meaningful goals.
We believe that therapy is most beneficial when conducted in the environment that suits you and your child best. Individual sessions and group programs are completed within real-life environments such as home, school, kinder or even at the park. Our team is led by founder Jake Du Chateau, an experienced paediatric occupational therapist. We see private clients, Medicare care plan clients, and NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants.
Throughout the entire therapy process, we are committed to providing evidence-based care and we endeavour to ensure that both the children and their families feel safe, comfortable, heard and advocated for. We love working as a team to ensure the most beneficial therapy outcomes. We collaborate with families, teachers and other health professionals to deliver therapy that will develop your child’s skills, increase their independence and improve their participation, all whilst having a whole lot of fun during the sessions!
About Foundations Therapy & Support
Jake has a long-standing passion about working with neurodiverse children and young people - particularly with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Generalised Anxiety, sensory processing difficulties and gross and fine motor skill delays. He understands how each difficulty can impact on a child's day-to-day independence within meaningful activities.
